Name: Gamling Skyseeker
Race: Dwarf
Age: 112
Residence: NewHaven
Gamling is that rarest breed of dwarves: an astronomer. Born in Starfallen Hall, he has always been fascinated by those most untouchable of jewels, the stars. A quarter century ago, he became obsessed with an upcoming rare conjunction of planets, and calculated that it would be best observed from a particular region of the Fallow Marches. Thus, euipped with his racial talent for craftsmanship and a mastery of the craft of telescope construction, he set out to make certain that there would be a civilized setting from which he could make his observations in comfort.
That setting just happened to be in the vicinity of NewHaven.
Gamling set up shop as the town's blacksmith and tinker, and in return, the townsfolk are prepared to build (or refurbish)a suitable observation tower in the next decade. Fortunately, he has three competent assistants who should be more than capable of taking over the business once he sets off for his homeland, and well deserved fame.
