Watchweyr
An ancient Royal Elven watchtower, thirty stories high, set atop a 30m hill, near the south southwestern shore of the Lake of Dreams. Today, only the tower and the inner wall of the surrounding fortifications remain. A quarter mile away, on the Lake’s shore, crumbled remnants of a supporting village can be found.
Thousands of years ago, towards the end of the Divine Era, the second ruler of the Elves, Gloriana the Resplendent, ordered the construction of a series of watchtowers on the eastern edge of her realm. To this day it is said that none of the towers have fallen, even if the Elves have lost interest in the lands which they once protected.
In IE 1263, a dark magus named Cloven set up operations here, apparently with the intention of carving out his own personal fiefdom.
