====Castella River====
Dominating the southern [[Fallow Marches]], the Castella river connects the central lake region to the mighty [[Aster River]], at the imperial city of [[Shining Falls]]. The Castella is barge-navigable for the first sixty leagues or so, but long standing imperial policy prohibits improvements that would facilitate trade //outside// the national border in this direction. To this end, the Ministry of Trade employed a number of Earth mages to cause an extensive, twelve foot fault at the edge of the [[Camwood]].

The Old Trade Road connects Shining Falls to [[Fort Sinister]], after which the [[New Road]] follows it on beyond its headwaters, eventually reaching [[Dawnfalls Landing]]. Due to new settlements along the [[Gonglin River]], the New Road has begun to fall into disuse.
